Nineteen proposed treaty actions were tabled in Parliament on Tuesday 7 December 2004. They included nine proposed treaty actions which had been previously tabled in May-June 2004 and for which public hearings had been held. The Committee has concluded its review of these treaties and the Committee’s recommendations may be found in Report 63.

The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (PGRFA) was originally tabled on 3 December 2002 (during the 40th Parliament). Submissions were received at this time and two public hearings were held. More information on PGRFA during the 40th Parliament is available.

The Committee invited interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference by Friday 21 January 2005.
