Inquiry update
The Inquiry was advertised in July 2002, and over 180 submissions
were received from interested organisations
and individuals around Australia.
Drawing on material in the written submissions the Committee conducted a series
of public hearings in state capital cities and some rural and
regional centres.
An interim report was presented on 5 April 2004.
The Committee expects to finalise its report in June of 2004.
