About the festive season
Parliament House is decking the halls this festive season. With a giant Christmas tree, delicious food from Queen’s Terrace Cafe and quality Australian gifts from the Parliament Shop, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Every year Parliament House helps raise money through the Christmas Giving Tree program for two charities that do important work for our community. We’re delighted to announce this year’s charities are Murrup and Teach for Australia.
Murrup supports First Nations children, young people and their families in remote communities, to build and sustain the foundations they need to thrive in school and beyond.
Teach for Australia offer leading development programs for teachers, school leaders and mentors who can give their students the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their potential.
Your support will allow both charities to continue their vital work, helping people to achieve their dreams.
There will also be many choir performances held over November and December to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Come and enjoy the choir performances and support these charities by donating using the QR codes located at Queen’s Terrace Café and the Parliament Shop.
