Format of this report

On 15 October 2007, the Parliament was prorogued; the House of Representatives was dissolved on 17 October 2007 and a General Election was held on 24 November 2007.

This report is divided into several sections that provide statistics on committee work during the following periods:

• the half year (1 July 2007 to 31 December 2007); and
• the year (1 January 2007 to 31 December 2007)

Statistics on these periods are kept in order to record information based on parliamentary terms as well as half, financial and full year periods.
