Public Hearings: Broome –Thursday, 1 September 2011
Katherine – Friday, 2 September 2011
As part of its Inquiry into Animal Welfare Standards in Australia's Live Export Markets, the Senate Rural Affairs and Transport Committee will hold public hearings in Broome (1 September) and Katherine (2 September).
Broome
The hearing in Broome is being held the Mangrove Resort Hotel, 47 Carnarvon Street, Broome. It will commence at 8.00 am and conclude at 4.00 pm.
Katherine
The hearing in Katherine is being held in the YMCA on the Stuart Highway. The hearing will commence at 8.00 am and conclude at 12.15 pm.
Both hearings will be chaired by Senator the Hon. Bill Heffernan.
