Coalition Senators make the following additional comments on the interim
report.

The Senate Select Committee on Red Tape's motivation in addressing the
considerable regulatory burden of occupational licensing has identified issues
restricting the market, and potentially increasing consumer costs.
1.3
These issues include regulatory requirements, duplication of
regulations, excessive red tape in individual compliance, with associated flow
on costs to business and consumers.
1.4
The committee also found issues with multiple and needlessly complex
regulations within individual jurisdictions and sectors further restricting the
national outlook.
1.5
Noting that this is an interim report, Coalition Senators will provide
additional comments on these issues once the final report has been tabled.
