FAMILY LAW LEGISLATION AMENDMENT (SUPERANNUATION) BILL 2000
Public Hearings 13- 14 November 2000
On Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 November, in Canberra, the
Senate Select Committee on Superannuation and Financial Services will
be holding Public Hearings into the provisions of the Family Law Legislation
Amendment (Superannuation) Bill 2000.
The Bill will amend the Family Law Act to provide for
the division of superannuation interests on marriage breakdown.
The Committee will be taking evidence from industry representatives,
service providers to industry, the Family Court of Australia and other
interested parties. Representatives from government bodies, namely the
Treasury, the Australian Taxation Office and the Attorney-Generals Department
will also give evidence.
The program for the two days of Public Hearings is below
