MATTERS RELATING TO SUPERANNUATION AND
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Public Hearing Friday 1 September 2000
The Senate Select Committee on Superannuation and Financial
Services will be holding a Public Hearing in Canberra on Friday 1 September
on matters relating to superannuation and financial services. The
Committee is inquiring into:
- prudential supervision and consumer protection for superannuation,
banking and financial services;
- the opportunities and constraints for Australia to become a centre
for the provision of global financial services; and
- enforcement of the Superannuation Guarantee Charge.
The aim of the hearing is to take further evidence on
terms of reference (a) and (c).
