Senate Inquiry into Mental Health
Public Hearings in Brisbane and Cairns
The Senate Select Committee on Mental Health will hold public hearings in Brisbane and Cairns on 4 and 5 August 2005 .
The Committee will hear from many individuals and organisations experienced in mental health care, policy and research. They will include representatives of:
- Australian Mental Health Consumer Network;
- The Queensland Office of the Public Advocate;
- The Royal Flying Doctor Service; and
- Far North Queensland Indigenous Consortium.
The hearings will be held:
- In Brisbane , at the 'Undunbi Room', Parliamentary Annex, Parliament House;
- In Cairns , at Civic Reception Room 2, Cairns City Council, 119-145 Spence Street;
and will be open to the public from 9.00am each day. The programs for the hearings are attached.
