Public hearing in Canberra

The Senate Select Committee on Mental Health will hold its first public hearing in Canberra tomorrow, Thursday 19 May 2005.

The Committee will hear from representatives of the Mental Health Council of Australia, which is the national representative network for organisations and individuals involved in mental health care, policy and research. Also appearing will be representatives of:

The Committee will also hear a presentation by Professor of Psychology Gary Bond, who is visiting from the USA as part of Schizophrenia Awareness Week.

The hearing is to be held in Committee Room 2S1 at Parliament House, and is open to the public from 10.30am . The program for the hearing is attached.
