Opposition Senators note the delayed provision of Hansard transcripts for the Estimates hearings.
The transcript for the public hearing held on 10 November 2022 was yet to be published 15 days later on the morning of 25 November 2022, despite Senators being asked to submit questions on notice by 18 November.
The delay in publishing transcripts was also noted by members of the public with an interest in the proceedings of the committee.
Opposition Senators acknowledge the hard work and expertise of Hansard staff in preparing accurate records of parliamentary proceedings.
We hope that appropriate arrangements and resources are put in place to ensure that delays of this length in the publishing of transcripts are not experienced in the next round of Estimates.
