Inquiry into Independent Arbitration of Public Interest Immunity Claims

Information about the Inquiry

On 16 November 2009 the Senate referred the following matter to the Senate Finance and Public Administration Committee for inquiry and report.

The following matter is referred to the Finance and Public Administration References Committee:
A process for determining public interest immunity claims made by the government in response to orders of the Senate or of Senate committees for the production of information and documents.

Submissions should be received by 27 November 2009. The reporting date is 02 February 2010.

The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to fpa.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.
