Impacts and management of feral horses in the Australian Alps

On 9 February 2023, the Senate referred the inquiry into impacts and management of feral horses in the Australian Alps to the Senate Environment and Communications References Committee for inquiry and report by 9 June 2023.

On 23 May 2023, the committee presented a progress report recommending an extension of time to report until 29 September 2023. This extension was granted by the Senate on 13 June 2023.

On 28 September 2023, the committee sought a further extension until 6 October 2023.

The committee now requests a further extension until 13 October 2023 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
