Climate Change Amendment (Duty of Care and Intergenerational Climate Equity) Bill 2023

On 3 August 2023, the Senate referred the inquiry into the Climate Change Amendment (Duty of Care and Intergenerational Climate Equity) Bill 2023 to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 1 February 2024.

On 7 August 2023, the committee was granted an extension of time for the report until 1 March 2024.

On 26 February 2024, the committee was granted an extension of time for the report until 27 March 2024.

On 25 March 2024, the committee was granted an extension of time for the report until 3 June 2024.

The committee requests an extension of time to report until 26 June 2024 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
