Inquiry into the proposed amendment in
the form of Schedule 1B to the Workplace Relations Amendment (Codifying
Contempts) Bill 2004

Dear Mr President,
The legislation committee met before the prorogation of the
Parliament to consider and report on progress on this inquiry which was due to
be reported by 30 November 2004.
No submissions had been received at the time of the
prorogation of the 40th parliament, which, given the long reporting
period, was not unexpected.
The committee has agreed that no further work will be
undertaken on the inquiry. It notes that the continuation of the inquiry will
depend on a new referral in the 41st parliament.
