Inquiry into development of high technology industries in regional Australia based on bioprospecting and bioprocessing

Update

The inquiry was advertised in November 2000 and written submissions invited. As at the end of March 2001, 25 submissions had been received.

Drawing on the information in the written submissions and other material brought to its notice, the committee is embarking on a short program of public hearings. It will also visit some regional centres in different parts of Australia.

The committee expects to finalise its report by the end of this year.
