Review of administration and expenditure for ASIO, ASIS and DSD

All Committees in the House of Representatives and joint committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for the 40th Parliament ceased to exist upon dissolution of the House of Representatives at 4:59pm, Tuesday 31 August 2004. Therefore, this inquiry lapsed.

On Thursday 9 December 2004, this inquiry was resumed by the Parliamentary Joint Committee on ASIO, ASIS and DSD.

The Parliamentary Joint Committee on ASIO, ASIS and DSD is required under Section 29 (1)(a) of the Intelligence Services Act 2001, to conduct an annual review of the administration, expenditure and the financial statements of ASIO, ASIS and DSD.

On Monday 14 March 2005, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on ASIO, ASIS and DSD tabled its report on the Review of administration and expenditure for ASIO, ASIS and DSD entitled "Review of administration and expenditure for ASIO, ASIS and DSD".
