Inquiry into harmonisation of legal systems

On Monday 7 February 2005 the Minister for The Hon Philip Ruddock MP, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on the harmonisation of legal systems within Australia, and with New Zealand.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference. Please refer to our brochure called preparing a submission for more information.

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer them to be emailed to laca.reps@aph.gov.au or sent on disk or CD-ROM to the Committee Secretariat in Microsoft Word® or Portable Document Format (PDF).

Public hearings for this inquiry are expected to be held in early 2006.
