The Committee has also held informal meetings with other people and organisations for the inquiry. The Committee has held such meetings in Nhulunbuy and Yirrkala (21 & 22 April 1998), Fitzroy Crossing (5 May 1998), the Warmun community near the Argyle Diamond mine (6 May 1998), Thursday Island (5 May 1998), and Badu and Moa Islands (6 May 1998).
