Part of a package of 5 bills which rewrites the legislation currently providing for the administration of Australia’s offshore petroleum resources, the bill repeals the
Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967
, Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Fees Act 1994
, Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Registration Fees) Act 1967
and Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Royalty) Act 1967
; makes consequential amendments to 30 other Acts; and provides that the penalty in section 96 of the repealed Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967
is taken to have never been enacted.
