Summary

Amends the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 to further simplify the internal government financial management framework and makes consequential amendments to the Albury-Wodonga Development Act 1973, Public Service Act 1999, Reserve Bank Act 1959 and Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme Act 2008. Also effects a transfer of funding for the Water Smart Australia program from the National Water Commission to the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.
