Summary

Amends the Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Act 1995 to: replace the prohibition on advertising unclassified films and computer games with an industry based self-assessment scheme to allow for advertising subject to conditions to be set out in a legislative instrument; and amend the classification procedures for films that are compilations of episodes of a television series and require an application for classification of such a film to be accompanied by a report from an authorised assessor that complies with conditions set out in a legislative instrument.
