Introduced with the Corporations (Fees) Amendment Bill 2007 and Corporations (Review Fees) Amendment Bill 2007, the bill amends the Corporations Act 2001, Social Security Act 1991, Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and Income Tax Assessment Act 1936 to simplify and streamline Australia’s corporate and financial service laws, particularly in regard to: regulation; company reporting obligations; auditor independence; corporate governance; funds raisings; takeovers; and compliance.
