Summary

Revises Australia’s counter-terrorism framework by amending the: Criminal Code Act 1995 to insert a new offence relating to association with a terrorist organisation; Transfer of Prisoners Act 1983 to provide for the transfer of prisoners between State and Territory prisons for security reasons; and Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977 to make decisions of the Attorney-General made on security grounds exempt from the application of the Act. Also contains an application provision.
