Summary

Amends the objects of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 to ensure that the primary focus of the award safety net is to address the needs of the low paid. Also requires the Australian Industrial Relations Commission to recognise this primary focus when performing its functions and exercising its powers in relation to awards. Also contains application provisions.
