Summary

Amends the

Health Insurance Act 1973
to: enable eligible legacy scheme participants to apply for an extended compliance determination to allow them an additional period of time to complete their return of service obligation; allow a person, in the event of serious disability or death, to cease to be a bonded participant under the program, without penalty; apply administrative penalties when bonded participants fail to produce information or documents within prescribed timeframes; and enable administration of inadvertent and minor breaches of Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship contracts with the Commonwealth.
