    to: replace the prohibition on advertising unclassified films and computer games with an industry based self-assessment scheme to allow for advertising subject to conditions to be set out in a legislative instrument; and amend the classification procedures for films that are compilations of episodes of a television series and require an application for classification of such a film to be accompanied by a report from an authorised assessor that complies with conditions set out in a legislative instrument.

    [2007] FCA 1352 (30 August 2007) by: providing that the Poisons Standard and its amendments are legislative instruments for the purposes of the
    Legislative Instruments Act 2003
    ; retrospectively reinstating certain amendments made to the Standard before the Roche decision; exempting the Standard from section 42 of the
    Legislative Instruments Act 2003
    relating to disallowance; and providing for ‘just terms’ compensation in the event that these measures could result in any acquisition of property.

What is a bill?

A bill is a proposal for a law or a change to an existing law. A bill becomes law (an Act) when agreed to in identical form by both houses of Parliament and assented to by the Governor-General.
