    Civil Aviation (Carriers’ Liability) Act 1959
    to: raise the liability cap for domestic passenger death or injury from $500 000 to $725 000; require carriers to increase the amount of insurance to $725 000 for domestic flights; exclude compensation for purely mental injuries arising on domestic flights; and update a reference to an international agreement; and
    Damage by Aircraft Act 1999
    to: provide for reduced compensation payments when a victim is partially responsible for the damage; enable defendants to seek contribution from other parties who may have contributed to the damage suffered by a person bringing a claim; and preclude claims for compensation for mental injuries when the claimant has not suffered additional personal or property damage.
