  in relation to the obligations of registered organisations; and to remove the rule change assessment process which requires registered health benefits organisations to submit all rule changes for government approval and replace it with a system of monitoring and compliance; and

  to: increase the powers of the Private Health Insurance Ombudsman (PHIO) to investigate complaints and resolve disputes; provide for an annual “state of the health funds” report by the PHIO; and make amendments to the lifetime health cover provisions.

  to: provide for the taking of both photographs and fingerprints of a convicted person; clarify consequences of refusal to take part in an identification parade; extend the class of indictable offences that may be dealt with summarily; enable DNA profile matching for unknown deceased persons; extend the provisions relating to ministerial arrangements for sharing DNA information; and make technical corrections to sentencing and parole provisions;
