Amends the:
Federal Court of Australia Act 1976
to: allow the Federal Court to refer all or part of a proceeding to a referee for report; and allow a single Federal Court judge to make interlocutory orders in proceedings that would otherwise be heard and determined by a Full Court; International Arbitration Act 1974
to give the Federal Court concurrent jurisdiction with State and Territory Supreme Courts to enforce foreign arbitral awards; Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975
, Family Law Act 1975
, Federal Court of Australia Act 1976
and Native Title Act 1993
to remove restrictions on Chief Justices and Presidents acquiring an interest in land for the purposes of the Lands Acquisition Act 1989
; Public Order (Protection of Persons and Property) Act 1971
to allow authorised, non-judicial officers of the Federal Court power to make orders specifying that certain premises are ‘court premises’; and Family Law Act 1975
to respond to the Full Family Court of Australia decision in Black v Black
relating to the satisfaction of technical requirements for binding financial and termination agreements.
