HOUSE ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE TAKES EVIDENCE FROM KEY LAND & WATER INDUSTRY GROUPS

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Environment and Heritage will hold a public hearing for its inquiry into catchment management this Monday, 22November, in Canberra.

The committee will take evidence from:

The issues covered by the catchment management inquiry include the value of a catchment approach to environmental management, best practice methods of achieving catchment health and environmental sustainability, and the role of governments, the private sector and the community in catchment management.

The public hearing will commence at 10:00 a.m, in Committee Room 1 R 4, Parliament House, Canberra. More details of the hearing program.
