Summary
Amends the
Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
to: provide for a set greenhouse gas emission intensity threshold to apply to all new power stations and require the responsible minister to approve the operation or construction of those power stations which meet this condition; establish a monitoring regime; and includes offence and penalty provisions.
