Summary

In response to a recent review by IP Australia, the bill amends the

Trade Marks Act 1995
to clarify the operation of the Act to: increase the certainty of trade mark rights issued; improve the administration and transparency of the trade mark system; and align the Act with other intellectual property legislation.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
