Summary

In response to a recommendation of the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee report on the AusCheck Amendment Bill 2009, the bill amends the

National Health Security Act 2007
to enable the minister to require background checks of individuals who handle or dispose of security sensitive biological agents to be conducted by AusCheck.
