Summary

Following government endorsement of the recommendations of the Review of the Corporate Governance of Statutory Authorities and Office Holders (the Uhrig Review), the bill amends the

Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research Act 1982
to change the corporate governance of the Australian Centre for Agricultural Research to an executive management structure, including revocation of the Centre’s body corporate status and creation of the Commission for International Agricultural Research and the new position of Chief Executive Officer.
