Summary

Establishes Cancer Australia as a new statutory agency in relation to coordination of cancer control, cancer treatment and management, cancer research and implementation of cancer policies and priorities. Also provides for the terms of appointment and roles of the Chief Executive Officer, support staff and the Cancer Australia Advisory Council.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
