Summary

Introduced with the Customs Tariff Amendment (Thailand-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation) Bill 2004 to give effect to Australia’s obligations under the Thailand-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the bill amends the

Customs Act 1901
to: incorporate new rules of origin for Thai goods for eligibility for preferential duty rates; and impose certain obligations on Australian exporters and Australian producers of goods who claim preferential tariff treatment in Thailand.
