Summary
Introduced with the US Free Trade Agreement Implementation (Customs Tariff) Bill 2004, the bill amends 11 Acts, relating to customs, agricultural and veterinary chemicals, geographical wine indicators, life insurance, foreign acquisitions and takeovers, Commonwealth authorities and companies, therapeutic goods, patents and copyright, in order to implement Australia’s obligations under the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement which is due to commence on 1 January 2005.
