Summary

Amends the

Migration Act 1958
to: provide a framework for the Migration Regulations to prescribe requirements relating to sponsorship; and prevent abuse of the merits review process by certain temporary visa applicants who fail to meet the sponsorship requirements of their visa. Also contains an application provision.
