Summary

Introduced with the Designs (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2002, the bill repeals the

Designs Act 1906
and implements a new registration system for industrial designs. Also contains transitional and saving provisions.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
