Summary

Amends the:

Broadcasting Services Act 1992
and
Radiocommunications Act 1992
to provide for new licensing arrangements for community television services;
Broadcasting Services Act 1992
in relation to licensing arrangements for community broadcasting; and
Broadcasting Services (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 1992
to repeal the remaining provisions of the
Broadcasting Act 1942
dealing with political advertisements which the High Court held invalid. Also contains saving, application and transitional provisions.
