Members of the Parliamentary Leadership Taskforce convened on 2 July 2024. The meeting did not achieve quorum, and proceeded as an information session.
The Taskforce welcomed Parliamentary Workplace Support Service (PWSS) CEO, Ms Leonie McGregor, who provided information on PWSS’ draft Impairment from Alcohol and other Drugs Policy. Ms McGregor advised PWSS would undertake consultation on the policy with relevant stakeholders before providing the policy to the PWSS Advisory Board for consideration.
The Taskforce continue discussions on draft legislation to establish the Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission.
