The Speaker of the House of Representatives (Hon Andrew Wallace MP) has received a letter of resignation from Mr Nick Champion as the Federal Member for Spence.

Consideration will now be given to the possibility of holding a by-election whilst being mindful that a general election is due to be held in the coming months.
