Submissions

Owing to the large number of submissions received, the committee has decided not to publish all submissions. The committee has decided to publish all submissions from organisations and academics and an equal number of individual submissions both supporting and opposing the Bill. The individual submissions published are representative of the submissions received.

The committee received 663 submissions from individuals, of these submissions, approximately 53 per cent opposed and 47 per cent supported the Bill. The committee received over 4700 pro forma submissions. In addition, the committee received eight different form letters, all opposing the Bill: Form letter A (54 received); Form letter B (20 received); Form letter C (18 received); Form letter D (14 received); Form letter E (18 received); Form letter F (15 received); Form letter G (16 received); and Form letter H (18 received).
