Inquiry into strengthening Australia’s relationships with countries in the Pacific region

On Tuesday, 11 February 2020, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, asked the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade - Foreign Affairs and Aid Sub-Committee to inquire into strengthening Australia’s relationships with countries in the Pacific region.

 

On 30 March 2022, the Committee presented its report Strengthening Australia’s relationships in the Pacific.

About this inquiry

The Committee shall examine the conditions necessary to strengthen Australia's relationships with the countries of the Pacific region to meet current and emerging opportunities and risks facing the region
