Inquiry into whether Australia should examine the use of targeted sanctions to address human rights abuses.

On Tuesday, 3 December 2019, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, asked the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade - Human Rights Sub-committee to inquire into the use of targeted sanctions to address human rights abuses.

The Committee invites submissions addressing any or all of the terms of reference for the inquiry;
Submissions are requested from within Australia by Thursday, 30 April 2020.
