On 30 March 2023, the Senate referred an inquiry into the Treasury Laws Amendment (Refining and Improving Our Tax System) Bill 2023 for inquiry and report by 28 April 2023.
 
The committee is still conducting its inquiry and requests an extension of time to report until 12 May 2023 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
