Women parliamentarians and staff from five Pacific island states were supported to attend the 2017 Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians conference at the Victorian parliament in Melbourne.

Sixty women from 17 Pacific parliaments participated in the fifth annual forum held in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Inter-Parliamentary Study Program for Deputy Speakers of Pacific parliaments

An inaugural program offering professional development and networking opportunities was delivered to 12 Deputy Speakers in the region at the Australian Parliament, with input from the Deputy Speaker and Deputy President, senior executive officers from the Australian Parliament and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
