Masks mandatory indoors in Australian Parliament House from Wednesday 22 December

Tuesday, 21 December 2021 in COVID-19

In line with COVID-19 precautions announced by the ACT Government today, masks will be mandatory for all passholders and visitors to Australian Parliament House from Wednesday 22 December.

More information about face mask requirements can be found on the ACT COVID-19 website.

Face mask packs are available at the Senate, House of Representatives, Ministerial and main front basement (Point 1) entrances.

To effectively use a face mask please follow these tips:

  • wash or sanitise your hands before putting it on or taking it off
  • make sure the mask covers your nose and mouth and fits snugly under your chin, over the bridge of your nose and against the sides of your face
  • do not touch the front of your mask while wearing or removing it
  • do not allow the mask to hang around your neck or under your nose, and
  • do not reuse single use masks.

Please place used masks in the dedicated bins provided around Parliament House or seal used masks in a plastic zip lock bag and put them in your workstation bin.
