On 22 June 2023, the Senate referred the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Amendment (Administrative Changes) Bill 2023 to the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 27 July 2023.

The committee requests an extension of time to report until 3 August 2023 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
